My 2015 Speech

The 21st century and in the past

Talofa my name is Pela Tiata and I am hear to talk to you about what changes from the past to the future.

I am a 21st century learner. Back in the olden days the teachers were very strict, the teachers were the boss, they told us what to write down with a limited time.

Now in these days in the future it’s been changed. We get to question the teachers, we get to learn whatever we want, learn wherever we want and yeah also now this world is using digital technology like phones, I pads, tablets and much more.

In my opinion, 21st century style of learning  is  better, you are able to do things you weren’t allowed to do before due to technology, using technology has helped us a lot with our learning, we get to use the tool spell check to correct our spelling. You can share your learning with others to get feedback and advice from others.

The purpose for going to university or going school is to follow your passion, love what you do, get a good education and to prepare you for life.

Here are some tips of why we have technology 24/7.

1. Technology helps us to access our learning tools/resources, share our learning, connect with experts learn.
2. We can take our technology wherever we want like for e.g in the past they had to learn the same things in the same class , at the same time and had no technology, but now we can learn with other classes and use our chrome book and take it anywhere we want.
3. We get to learn in lots of different spaces inside, outside, library and also different classroom with our technology.

Isn’t the future amazing well yes of course it is. What I will say is from now on walk towards your future and accomplish what you want in life .  Thank you!
